MY INNER VOICE

Just like air,

This seemingly locked up feeling begins to find its way out.

You may write my name with your choice of words

But like air,

I shouldn't feel it

I will still assume my position spreading all over,

Nothing can withhold me; I have all I need

I AM all I need.

The euphoria  breeds mixed feelings

Should I continue to be me?

Do I change because of you?

Do I become seasonal to suit everyone's season?

Did I do it right?

I need a breather from all these; a respite to truly be myself and remain so.

You can't define me by my past, my character

Because they don't define me.

The me defines me.

My boldness irritates you

My daring demeanor presents itself before I even speak—I know.

That is me here, and you over there.

Acceptez-moi comme ça.

Je t'aime mais je me préfère.
