I thought I was happy
But superficial excitement was all I had
I thought I was living the life
The life of the big guys
I had said to myself
"you're a big boy"
In my realm I was the 'eye-catch'
I thought I was living the life
The life of the big guys
Little did I know that I was hurting
I was blinded by excitement
I was in a thick darkness
But then You found me
Your light healed me of blindness
I saw
I saw the deep injuries on me
I cried
I wept
I screamed
I became frightened
Oh! What have I done?
How could I be so stupid?
I condemned myself
I was so filthy
Then again,
Your light healed me of ignorance
"you have been bought with a price
My love for you will not end
My blood has made you whole
This is true, you must believe "
I was happy
But what about my scars?
Though they're still there,
I won't feel ashamed
I'll wear them as my batch
My batch of testimony
I love my scars
Cause they speak testimony.
This poem, write up or whatever you want to call it, is dedicated to all who have been hurt, bruised, depressed and maltreated. God is saying to you that He loves you all the same. Do not feel ashamed, tell Him all, tell Him exactly how you feel. He loves you more than you know.
